James Reid apologizes for Instagram post

MANILA, Philippines- James Reid apologized to those who were offended by his post on his Instagram account.

Recently, James posted a photo quote saying “people who read the tabloid deserve to be lied to,” which irked many, especially the press people who write for tabloids.

“First of all I want to apologize kung may na offend sa pinost ko. Na-realize ko na mali yung ginawa ko,” James said in an interview on Friday.

The young actor explained that his emotions at that time was so high due to the different rumors spreading about him, like an alleged sex video which he denied.

“I was really upset,” he confessed. “My friends, my family my fans they asked me if it’s true, and the worst part is I can’t defend myself. I was just really upset and the way I reacted was wrong.”

He then apologized to everyone, especially to the tabloid writers saying “I really do appreciate what the press has done for me. It was never my intention to offend [the] people of the press...”

“I guess it was wrong choice of words, so I’m sorry for that. It won’t happen again,” he added.

James will star opposite Nadine Lustre in an upcoming primetime teleserye “On the Wings of Love.” Joining them are Joel Torre, Cherry Pie Picache, Arjo Atayde, Bianca Manalo, Nanette Medved and Nico Antonio.

It will be under the entertainment division of Dreamscape Production, and will soon air in ABS-CBN this 2015.
