Jay-R, Kris in V-Day show

MANILA, Philippines - R&B royalties Jay-R (left) and Kris Lawrence reaffirm their brotherhood of soul with their special Valentine’s Day show at the Eclipse Bar of the Solaire Resort and Casino on Feb. 14.

Dubbed Soul Brothers, the concert serves as a delightful throwback to the timeless catalog of soul, Motown and R&B classics that are enjoying a resurgence in this digital age.

Both acclaimed singers and songwriters, Jay-R and Kris continue to enthrall their fans with their magnetic stage dynamism and commanding presence; Kris with his regular appearances on GMA 7 Sunday noontime show Sunday All Stars, and Jay-R with his regular guesting stints on ABS-CBN’s ASAP 20.

Despite their creative partnerships as songwriters and producers, Jay-R and Kris rarely find time to stage a back-to-back concert, that’s why they’re   excited about their Valentine’s Day shindig.

“It’s the perfect time to celebrate the essence of soul music,” Jay-R affirms. “It speaks volumes about love and romance, which makes it a timely musical theme for Valentine’s Day.”

For his part, Kris sees the show as a much-awaited stage reunion with musical mentor and soul brother Jay-R. He narrates, “Ever since our growing up years in the States, Jay-R has always been a major influence in my musical development, both as singer, instrumentalist and composer/arranger.”
