Pilita, the Divos at Fernbrook Feb. 14

MANILA, Philippines - Here’s good news for the fans of Asia’s Queen of Song Pilita Corrales and of the New Minstrels Divos as well as those who dread the traffic jams that characterize the Valentine’s Day celebration in Metro Manila. The management of Fernbrook Gardens has decided to put together a very special show for Valentine’s Day right inside Fernbrook’s beautiful surroundings in Las Piñas.

The show is A Love Affair and it stars Pilita, who will perform songs with The New Minstrels Divos for the first time.

The last time Pilita staged a concert was in November 2014 with the hit show Duets at the Manila Hotel where she performed with the artists featured in her recently-released album, also titled Duets.

The New Minstrels Divos, on the other hand, is an off-shoot of the legendary ’70s showband The New Minstrels. The new Divos is made up of Eugene Villaluz, Ding Mercado, Chad Borja, Rene Puno and guest divo for the evening, Ray-An Fuentes, who was also with the New Minstrels.

The Divos will interpret famous love songs from the ’60s and ’70s eras like Let It Be Me, Never My Love, Angel On My Shoulder, The Seventh Dawn, Cherish and many more. They are also set to sing duets of romantic favorites with Pilita.
