Marian on English proficiency: Basehan ng pagiging matalino?
MANILA, Philippines - Marian Rivera lashed back at those who criticized her for not being proficient in English.
“Sabi ko nga, 'yon ba ang basehan ng mga tao sa pagiging matalino?” asked Marian in the January 4 episode of “Kapuso Mo Jessica Soho,” where she visited her alma mater De La Salle University in Cavite.
The Kapuso actress admitted that she's not proficient in English, but contested insinuations that she's not smart.
“Para maka-graduate ka ng Psychology sa isang magandang eskuwelahan, walang bobong tao na nakaka-graduate ng psych,” she said.
During the same program, Marian and her life partner Dingdong Dantes opened up a bit about their relationship, including how they handle misunderstandings.
Marian admitted that she's sensitive, but she easliy forgives Dingdong.
“Susuyuin ako niyan. Sa text susuyuin ako noyan. Dadalhan ako ng flowers o kaya hahawakan ka lang niya, tapos aayain na kumain,” the actress said.
Dingdong added that they won't let the day pass without settling their issues. He said a couple shouldn't involve other people in resolving their problems.
Marian, meanwhile, said that she would go to Dingdong's mother, Angeline, before their misunderstanding becomes serious.
Dingdong's mother said that she would always remind the couple: “Maging understanding sa isa't isa."
"Kapag mainit ang ulo nila, 'wag muna mag-usap, cool down muna.
