Fresh TV, movie hits mark Lifetime’s first salvo for 2015
MANILA, Philippines - A child prodigy, exotic cook-offs and suspense-filled features are set to liven up Lifetime’s first salvo for 2015, as television’s entertainment destination presents its new shows and movies for January.
Headlining the list is MasterChef New Zealand Season 4, which premieres Jan. 5, 2015 at 7 p.m. Lifetime takes viewers on a one-of-a-kind culinary journey to New Zealand which not only offers its majestic mystique, but also ultra-competitive kitchen wunderkinds who are off to turn the country’s natural produce into exciting and creative dishes. Catch some of the most intense culinary battles set against the pristine natural backdrop of New Zealand weeknights at 7 and 11.
Child prodigy Asia Monet Ray may only be nine years old, but the singer-dancer-TV personality is already on her way to becoming a star. After placing third in the first season of dance coach Abby Lee Miller’s competition series Abby’s Ultimate Dance Competition and a brief stint on the popular reality TV series Dance Moms, Asia’s journey to fame and success is documented in her brand-new series. Follow Asia as she works her way to reaching her dreams with help from family and friends in the first season of Raising Asia, which premieres on Jan. 17, 2015 at 6 p.m.
Two edge-of-your-seat movies are also in store for Lifetime viewers this month. Inspired by a true story, Run For Your Life, airing Jan. 6, 2015 at 9 p.m., follows one woman’s desperate plight to flee an abusive ex-husband and save her children’s lives. A couple’s dream of finding their perfect home turns into a nightmare when the current occupant refuses to leave and takes them hostage in Foreclosed, which screens Jan. 20, 2015 at 9 p.m.
With a fresh and remarkable line-up of movies and shows, it’s going to be another entertainment-filled new year with Lifetime.
