Derek Ramsay after MMFF Best Actor win: Life is good
MANILA, Philippines - “Life is good!” Thus said Derek Ramsay after he was named Best Actor at the 40th Metro Manila Film Festival Awards Night.

The actor, who won the award for his role in “English Only, Please,” was not able to attend the awarding cerenomy but immediately took to social media after his win.
“This year has been crazy emotional. I went through many trials but with the support of family, friends and faith in god I got through them,” he said.

Derek added: “Having the opportunity to be a father to my wonderful son & now winning this award make this one of the best years of my life. Life is good!”

The award comes after Derek’s legal battles with estranged wife Mary Christine Jolly earlier this year.
The two camps have since reached a settlement for sake of their son Austin.
The actor will star in a sitcom on TV5 next year.
