Kris Aquino: You can't have it all

Joyce Jimenez - The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - Kris Aquino is contented with what is happening with her life.

“Ano siguro, may contentment talaga,” Kris said about her “blooming” aura during the press conference of her 2014 Metro Manila Film Festival entry “Feng Shui 2,” on Wednesday.

Kris avoided questions about the possibility of a newfound love because of her positive aura and replied to showbiz media: "Next year, magsu-shooting pa ako, e, tapusin ko muna lahat."

The actress and TV host said that everything has been going well in her life right now despite not getting all that she wanted.

"Hindi talaga puwede maibigay ang lahat sa iyo nang sabay-sabay," she said.

“So alam n'yo namang lahat kung anong kulang sa buhay ko,” she continued, referring to her love life. “Kung hindi pa talaga panahon ngayon, okay lang. Kasi siguro darating din ang time na hindi na ganito ang trabaho ko, baka puwede na. Doon na ang panahon ng pag-ibig.”

Talking about her film, Kris explained how “Feng Shui 2” and Coco Martin's participation in the film came about. She have learned about the actor's admiration of her film “Feng Shui” and that he had expressed willingness to be part of the sequel.

“So nabalitaan ko lahat 'yon, then I called up Biboy [Biboy Arboleda],” she relates, pertaining to Coco's manager. “I said, 'Biboy was he serious o pang-promo lang 'yan?' Kasi parang magandang timing, kasi if ever we'll do it we'll show ten years after the first.”

After consulting with Coco's manager and the film's director Chito Roño, the film's sequel finally pushed through.
