Every day is B-day

MANILA, Philippines - Donita Rose (photo) will celebrate her birthday today with her GMA 7’s Basta Every Day, Happy! family.

The former MTV VJ and now an accomplished chef turned 40 last Dec. 5. Having been in show business for 24 years now, Donita is still considered as one of the country’s most talented TV personalities.

“Prayers will guide you and I thank God for making me part of the show, for sharing happy moments with my co-hosts and everyone in the show. I love making televiewers happy and the people that surround me,” Donita said during a press set visit.

In today’s episode, watch Donita’s son JP and co-host Gladys Reyes’ son Kristoff in their surprise dance number. In tomorrow’s episode, Dec. 9, the show starts with a special production number by Donita, followed by a heartwarming search for Donita’s No. 1 fan — is it the mom whose daughter shares the same birthday with Donita? Or is it the yaya who took care of her since she was five years old?

The show closes with Donita’s special request to co-host Chef Boy Logro — a wacky rendition of Sexbomb.

The morning talk-variety show is also hosted by Alessandra de Rossi. It features beauty, fashion, home care, family and relationships, technology, travel, food, among others.

Basta Every Day, Happy! airs weekdays before Don’t Lose the Money on GMA 7.
