MANILA, Philippines - Above, left: Reigning Bb. Pilipinas-International Mary Anne Bianca Guidotti (seated, rightmost) with fellow candidates in Tokyo for the 2014 Miss International pageant set for tomorrow, Nov. 11, to select the successor of title-holder Bea Rose Santiago (back row, sixth from left) of the Philippines. “Will the Philippines score a back-to-back win?” asked Funfare’s “other beauty expert” Celso de Guzman who filed this report, reminding kababayan to help Bianca via online voting at www.miss-international.org (good until 1 o’clock tomorrow morning, Philippine Time which is one hour behind Japan Time).

Above, right: 2013 Miss World Megan Young continues her “beauty with a purpose” duties for two more years, recently visiting cancer-stricken children (right) at the Philippine General Hospital (PGH) accompanied by Miss World-Philippines national director Cory Quirino (third from left), Miss World Organization (MWO) head Julia Morley (second from right), Alice Eduardo (third from right) and PGH executives. (Photos and report also by Celso)

Far left: New York-based Funfare “beauty expert” Felix Manuel with Bb. Pilipinas-International Anthea Robles and 1996 Bodyshots winner and international model Lucia Santiago during the New York Marathon last Nov. 2. The two beauties joined more than 50,000 from more than 100 countries in the race that traversed five boroughs of New York.
