CMMA Award for Romy Macalintal

MANILA, Philippines - The program The Law of the Heart is Love of election lawyer Romy Macalintal (in photo with wife Mila) was given a Special Citation Award in the recently-concluded 2014 Catholic Mass Media Awards (CMMA) ‘for tackling the true value, greatness and love of God for the Filipino people, especially in times of disaster.’ The event which was held last Oct. 29 at the GSIS Teatro of the Government Insurance System in Pasay City marked the 36th CMMA’s annual ceremonies.

Romy’s entry for the Best Radio Entertainment category was the Nov. 16, 2013 episode in his radio show where broadcast journalist Kara David of GMA 7 Network was his guest poem reader. Kara gave a very comprehensive overview of the role of media people in times of disaster.
