A bigger, bolder CinemaJam 2014

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - The country’s first-ever movie and music festival CinemaJam promises to make a bolder statement this year with an electrifying line-up of local acts, two Hollywood blockbuster movies and thrilling outdoor activities.

Set at Greenfield District Central Park, Mandaluyong City, CinemaJam 2014 will be a whole-day spectacle perfect for family and friends to enjoy.

When asked about what CinemaJammers should expect on the Nov. 29 event  presented by Crizal Transitions, Essilor marketing manager Jinky Navo shared, “After a successful pilot last year, we are excited to bring forward a bigger, brighter and bolder CinemaJam.”

“From daylight fun, where every group can try exciting activities like zip line, bungee and wall climbing, transitioning to chill sunset music, to an outdoor movie screening on a giant LED TV and midnight jam, we believe that this year’s version is going to raise the bar when it comes to art and music festivals.”

Giving us the hits like First Of Summer, Frailty, Guillotine, Gravity and Never Will I Forget, Urbandub is set the stage ablaze, along with Bamboo, Franco, Itchyworms, Cheats and Chocolate Factory.

Banda ni Kleggy, a musical side project that brought together vocalist Kleggy Abaya, M.Y.M.P. bassist Berns Cuevas, 6Cyclemind guitarist Rye Sarmiento and bassist Bob Cañamo, Callalily’s Lem Balaro on synth and Otep Concepcion on drums, is also expected to hype up the crowd with Imago and Pedicab.

CinemaJam 2014 will also screen Hollywood blockbuster movies Now You See Me, which will have a sequel in 2016, and Letters to Juliet starring Amanda Seyfried.

Festival goers will also get to touch the lives of children and families who are in need as CinemaJam ties up with the humanitarian organization World Vision for the second time.

“We are excited to share brighter horizons with the beneficiaries of World Vision and we hope to reach out to more and more people in the upcoming years, through events like this one,” said Essilor GM Dr. Emelita Roleda.

In line with this year’s theme “Make A Positive Statement,” CinemaJam will also serve as the perfect venue for the unveiling of Essilor’s newest product, the Crizal Transitions Signature Green.  Now available in optical clinics nationwide, the Crizal Transitions Signature Green complements the company’s vision as a brand in promoting better eyesight and a positive perspective.
