ABS-CBN bags People’s Choice Stevie Award

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - ABS-CBN Corporation was named the winner of the People’s Choice Stevie Award for Favorite Company in the Media and Entertainment category after earning the Gold Stevie Award in the same category at the International Business Awards (IBA) in a banquet held in Paris, France recently.

The only Philippine media company to be recognized by the awards competition, ABS-CBN received the highest number of online votes and beat the other Stevie winners in the said category.

ABS-CBN, which won the Gold Stevie Award for its business achievements in the past year, received both Gold Stevie and People’s Choice Stevie awards.

More than 23,000 votes were cast in this year’s People’s Choice Stevie Awards for Favorite Companies, a feature of the International Business Awards, the world’s premier business awards competition. All organizations honored in the IBA’s Company of the Year categories were included in People’s Choice Stevie Awards for Favorite Companies voting, in which the public voted for their favorite companies.

Last May, ABS-CBN bagged a Grand Stevie Award at the Asia-Pacific Stevie Awards and was the only Filipino company to receive the highest honor given to five companies in the region. It also won a Gold Stevie Award in the Services Company of the Year category, while ABS-CBN president and CEO Charo Santos-Concio won a Gold Stevie award in the Woman of the Year for all Asia-Pacific nations category (except for Australia and South Korea).
