Richard Gomez on 16-year marriage with Lucy Torres: Walang perfect marriage
MANILA, Philippines- Richard Gomez said his marriage with Leyte 4th District Rep. Lucy Torres-Gomez is not perfect.
“Sa mundo natin walang perfect marriage, e. It’s something you work on a daily basis,” he said in an interview on Wednesday.
So we have disagreements once in a while, pero it is how you come up with a solution. I try to live a happy life. Hindi man perfect ang buhay natin, at least masaya.”
Disagreements are inevitable, but Richard is proud to say that they never fight out of jealousy.
“Hindi, hindi talaga,” he replied when asked if Lucy is a jealous type. “Kahit noon hindi. Ako hindi rin, wala naman dapat pagselosan.”
Richard said, however, that in the 16 years together, there are temptations.
“Siyempre na-tempt naman, di ba? Pero self-control,” he said when asked if he never gets tempted by other women. Malaking gulo ‘yon.”
He adds that those kinds of situations are easy to get over with since he has good communication and bond with his wife.
“Marami kaming time together,” he relates. Lagi kaming may midnight snack. Bonding namin ‘yon, usap.
Meanwhile, Richard is happy with the success of his TV5 gameshow “Quiet Please! Bawal Maingay!” On Wednesday, they’ve taped the last episode for the first season of the show.
“Last taping day for season one. Tapos pahinga konti, hopefully bumalik kami,” he said about the show.
In case the second season pushes through, Richard hopes to have his friends guest in the show.
