AXN's 'Ten' bares Philippine destinations for new season
MANILA, Philippines — Jason Godfrey, the Filipino-Canadian host and designated guide of AXN's "Ten" is returning for the next six-episode season of the hit travel and lifestyle show which will again feature ten noteworthy Philippine destinations.
AXN said in a statement that Jason is set to explore Bicol, Batangas-Mindoro, Ifugao and Kalinga, Davao, Quezon, Puerto Princesa, Bukidnon, Marinduque, Surigao and Negros Oriental–Siquijor in a season promising to be a "fun mix of culture and adventure" in a production by Culture Shock and Magnetic Sphere in partnership with oil company Shell.
"And as to what exactly will be explored in each place, one has to stay tuned and it will be worth the wait," the entertainment channel said.
It is not clear, however, whether Jason will again accomplish a mission in each of these trips, but the network said that each upcoming episode "concludes with a sense of accomplishment."
"Ten believes that worthy travel has direction and requires the traveller to not only witness, but to experience each place he visits and connect with the people he meets," AXN noted.
Prior to joining the show, Jason did not know about his Filipino roots and confessed that it was a pleasant shock to know he was about to not only be acquainted with his mother's homeland, but to get immersed in an adventurous experience in the first season.
Jason made friends with Negros' locals, relived Manila's charm, learned new skills such as making souvenirs in Panay and reveled at the breathtaking sights of Busuanga.
AXN said that it expects the next season, which premieres Friday, September 26 to gain new viewers who will catch the "contagious vibe" in Jason's adventures "that one cannot help into." - Camille Diola
