Taste Buddies features specialty dishes in Manila

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - A fab, fresh and fun Saturday awaits Kapuso viewers as celebrity best friends and food buddies Isabelle Daza (far right) and Solenn Heussaff (photo) step out and experience life’s different flavors on GMA News TV’s Taste Buddies.

Join Belle and Solenn, together with guests Aira Bermudez and Paolo Paraiso, as they search Manila restaurants that devote much time and effort in specialties.

For serious coffee drinkers who also love to eat, Solenn and Aira recommend the Kuppa Roastery and Café where they not only learn how to roast an aromatic coffee but also how to make a delicious pizza.

On the other hand, Belle and Paolo discover the secrets in cooking Kansi, a special soup from Bacolod that is perfect for cold, rainy days at a casual restaurant specializing in Ilonggo comfort food — Kanteen.

GMA Artist Center’s Steven Silva, meanwhile, satisfies the viewers’ cravings for classic brunch food at the homey Marmalade Kitchen with Chef Aileen Anastacio. Also on feature is the Mad Marks Creamery & Good Eats that serves one of the best-tasting homemade ice creams and steaks in the metro.

Taste Buddies airs Saturday nights at 8:45.
