Niño bids farewell tonight

MANILA, Philippines - Tonight after 24 Oras, ready the handkerchiefs as GMA 7’s top-rating drama series, Niño, will air its final episode.

For almost four months, Niño has become a part of the Filipino viewers’ weeknights as the family-oriented series captured their hearts with its heartwarming story that does not only promote good family values, but also encourages viewers, especially the kids to become loving at all times through the “Naynay Commandments,” a set of values and good manners that teaches the importance of being responsible and honest.

Lead star Miguel Tanfelix, who was tasked to play the title role, shared his unforgettable experience while doing the series. “Dito po sa show na ito, binigyan ko ng pressure ang sarili ko para mas ma-challenge po ako at mag-improve as an actor. Kapag pumupunta po kami sa mga mall shows, nararamdaman po namin yung mainit na pagtanggap ng mga tao sa amin, na talagang tinatangkilik po nila yung Niño,” Miguel said.

Meanwhile, director Maryo J. delos Reyes has nothing but nice words for Miguel. “He is a revelation. He consistently played his role very well. Talagang mararamdaman mo na totoo. Nadadala ka talaga sa pagganap niya,” said direk Maryo.
