Bistado exposes ‘sextortionists’

MANILA, Philippines -  Julius Babao (photo) reveals the well-organized modus of worldwide sextortion syndicates in Bistado today at 4:50 p.m.

Sextortion is a global cybercrime in which the group lures people into cybersex and then secretly records victims’ sexually explicit photos or videos. The victims will then be blackmailed and extorted with $500 to $2,000.

The Philippine National Police (PNP), backed by International Police (Interpol), has arrested 58 suspects in the Philippines for their alleged involvement in a giant, global sextortion network.
