NYOBG marks 1st year at PAGCOR

MANILA, Philippines - Not Your Ordinary Boys and Girls (NYOBG) members Benj Bolivar, Carlo Sawit, Maui Lumba, PJ Go, Avery Paraiso, Kaye Chua, Junnel Manansala, Jennica Ollero and Nicole Koffman mark their first year of performances at PAGCOR with their Not Your Ordinary Variety Show (NYOVS).

Catch them live once again on Sept. 13 (Casino Filipino Tagaytay), Sept. 18 (Casino Filipino Hyatt), Sept. 19 (Casino Filipino Ronquillo) and Sept. 26 (Casino Filipino Pavilion).

To celebrate the milestone, the group will reprise the best production numbers of the show in their repertoire for this month. Aside from a fashion show, they will also groove on the catwalk to a Bruno Mars medley, Kat DeLuna’s Drop It Low, Tagalog hits medley of Rico J. Puno and Hagibis, Shots of LMFAO (feat. Lil Jon) and a medley of I Know You Want Me, Lambada and Ricky Martin’s Cup of Life. More surprises are in store.

These guys and galls are ecstatic because September marks their first year with PAGCOR and they have been receiving good feedback for their performances in NYOVS.

According to Benj, “It feels great to hear encouraging words about NYOVS. It’s a reward for all the hard work and rigorous rehearsals we do just to perfect our performances. Now, naka-one year na kami with our shows in PAGCOR.”

PJ and Maui agreed, “We are very grateful for all the support. We feel appreciated that’s why we strive to be better each show and to do more than what is expected from us.”

Avery, who has a special role in the movie Once a Princess, said, “I’m so happy for being given the chance to do a movie. My experience in showbiz is growing because of the opportunities coming my way. NYOVS has, of course, been a huge help because through our production numbers, our confidence level also increases.”

Pizza endorser Carlo, for his part, reflected, “Wow, time flies really fast! Thank you to Backroom (our management) and PAGCOR for having confidence in us.”

Fresh from winning third runner-up and the People’s Choice Award in the Ms. Manila 2014, Kaye is all set for another series of NYOVS. “Looking back, ang dami na pala naming nagawang shows since Day One. It feels good.”

Junnel, Jennica and Nicole are unanimous in saying people have to watch their Pagcor shows. “Watch out for NYOVS as we pump up the volume much higher this time. As we celebrate our first year in PAGCOR, there will be bigger and better production numbers that await the audience. So brace yourself and enjoy the ride.”  

Joining them onstage as special guests are Krazy Chikz and PAGCOR homegrown artists Hadasa and Joyce.
