Ammo concert at Merci Aug. 30

MANILA, Philippines - First Option Events and Entertainment is presenting Ammo in Concert, with rock icons Lolita Carbon and Resty Fabunan as guest artists on Aug. 30 at Merci Bar on Timog Ave. in Quezon City.

Ammo, a reloaded version of Amo Band from the ’80s, is Monet Cajipe’s brainchild. The band plays classic rock from the ’70s and ’80s. Think Aerosmith, Guns N Roses, Mister Mister, Styx, Queen, The Beatles, Eagles, Rod Stewart, Deep Purple, Rolling Stones, Bachman Turner Overdrive, Eric  Clapton, Van Halen, Toto, U2, Power Station, Cars, Lynnrd Skynnrd, Bryan Adams, Dire Straits, Black Crowes, Little Riverband, Led Zeppelin, Rush, Billy Idol, The Knack, Billy Joel, Pink Floyd, America, Journey, etc…. and the list goes on and on. They band members have an ace up their sleeves, too with Monet Cajipe’s original songs included in the line-up. Remember Pain in my Heart, which became a hit in 1994? It was released again with Zoo Band’s Zoology album in 2007, and has since been re-arranged and performed by other artists, more recently by Gerald Santos and Faith Cuneta for the telenovela, Snow Queen on Net 25.

Ammo is composed of Monet on lead guitar/vocals/ bandleader; Phil Castaneda (vocals); Dean Eclar (rhythm guitar and vocals); Boy Alpay (bass and vocals); and Third Caes (drums and vocals).
