Hunk of the World ng Makati deserving

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - Undoubtedly the most deserving to win Pinoy Big Brother (PBB) All In, Daniel Matsunaga, tagged as Hunk of the World ng Makati, emerged as the big winner Sunday night in the latest edition of the reality competition. The PBB All In Big Night was held at the Newport Performing Arts Theater of Resorts World Manila.

The Brazilian-Japanese model and actor, the only remaining male housemate inside the PBB house who made it to the Big Four, edged out his three female counterparts by garnering the biggest number of text votes to bag the title.

The 25-year-old Daniel won apparently for being true, real and honest throughout his stay inside the PBB house, doing tasks without any complaints, dealing with other housemates without any pretenses and staying inside the house without any qualms. He swept the floor, cleaned the bathroom and washed dishes.

PBB All In had a total of 19 housemates, an interesting mix of regular talents, teens and celebrities, who lived inside the newly-refurbished PBB house. The Big Four — Daniel, Maris Racal, Jane Oineza and Vicky Rushton —  stayed inside the house for more than a hundred days.

The Big Night opened with a live production number that featured PBB host Toni Gonzaga, Tutti Caringal and Sam Milby, joined by the ex-housemates of PBB All In. Prior to that, a video of the Big Four’s dinner on a yacht the night before was shown, followed by their final task where Kuya revealed to them the Big Night.

The sponsors of PBB All In were featured in a video with the ex-housemates, directed by Fifth Pagotan to the tune of his worldwide trending Turtle Song, which became popular during the competition.

First to exit the PBB house after only three weeks was Simpatikong Salesman ng CamSur Chevin Cecilio. That same week, however, Biba Raketera ng Valenzuela Cess Visitacion was slapped with a forced exit because of her repeated violations.

On the fifth week came the exit of Jock Next Door ng Taguig Axel Torres. Cutie Crooner ng Parañaque Jacob Benedicto was the fourth evictee, followed by Dancing Bombshell ng Boracay Aina Solano.

Sassy Sister ng Rizal Alex Gonzaga, who was a houseguest and not officially a housemate, left the PBB house on the eighth week. She was not evicted, however. She merely had to say goodbye to the housemates due to her showbiz commitments.

The next evictee was Maginoong Marino ng Quezon Ranty Portento, who was joined by Devoted Daughter ng Las Piñas Jaymie Jalandoni and Spunky Spiker ng Quezon City Michelle Gumabao. Then, it was Sweet Revelation ng Makati Nichole Barranda’s turn to leave the PBB house after the 10th week.

Elevator Nanay Cheridel Alejandrino had a brief stay at Kuya’s House. She entered after Alex left on the eighth week, became an official housemate after two weeks, got nominated and sadly got evicted on the 12th week. She garnered the lowest number of votes among five housemates nominated for eviction that week.

Brad Bait ng Pasay Fourth (a.k.a. Bobby Pagotan) left on the 13th week, followed by his twin, Fifth (Robert Pagotan), known as the Brad Kulit ng Pasay. Wonder Son ng Quezon City Manolo Pedroza left the PBB house three weeks before the finals.

One week before the Big Night, Tatay’s Boy ng Batangas Joshua Garcia was evicted while Talented Darling ng Parañaque Loisa Andalio left a day before the Big Night.
