WATCH: Enchong, Erich on why they are just friends

MANILA, Philippines- Enchong Dee and Erich Gonzales are happy with their decision to be friends rather than lovers.

The two were first paired in 2009 when they worked in the drama series “Katorse.” Since then, they've  always  been paired, making the public wonder  why their reel relationship did not become real.

Although they can't say exactly why their relationship did not extend beyond friendship, Enchong said  he's happy they kept it that way because “I think hindi kami magbibigyan ng chance magkatrabaho ulit kung nagkaro'n kami ng relasyon dati. I'm sure ayaw ko siya makatrabaho or siya ayaw niya ako makatrabaho because we had a past.”

The Enchong-Erich love team are making a come back in the Star Cinema film “Once a Princess,” which will be in cinemas on August 6.

Erich agreed with her leading man and added that through the years they've been together “may nabuo na kaming connection.”

The two are both in a relationship now with their non-showbiz partners.
