Jessie J receives 4X platinum award

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - Award-winning English singer-songwriter, Jessie J (photo, center), conquered Manila and performed for all her Filipino Heartbeats fans last July 14 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum, singing her hits including Do It Like a Dude, Laserlight, Domino, and ending the night by performing the all-time favorite, Price Tag. MCA Music local artist Myk Perez opened the show and sang some tracks from his debut album My Acoustic. The singer from The Voice of the Philippines finalist was personally picked by Jessie J to be her support act for her Manila show.

At the end of her show, Jessie J was awarded with a 4X Platinum award by record label MCA Music (Universal Music Philippines) for the outstanding sales performance of her 2011 album, Who You Are, selling over 60,000 units in both physical and digital formats in the Philippines.

With Jessie J (from left) are publishing manager Evelyn Seale; domestic marketing manager Mark Bonifacio; president Ricky Ilacad; frontline marketing manager Francesca Tan; strategic marketing manager MJ Juco; and EMI marketing manager Haze Romawac.

Her follow-up album, Alive (2013), exclusively distributed under MCA Music (Universal Music Philippines), features the chart-topping singles, Wild, It’s My Party and Thunder.

Bringing home a 4X Platinum award is definitely a great way to end the ALIVE Tour with a bang.

Who You Are and Alive are available in CDs in all Astroplus/Astrovision and Odyssey stores nationwide or download them digitally on iTunes or SPINNR.PH.
