The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - A clay artist and a children’s book author are among the featured guests in the arts and culture program Art 2 Art for this month.

Produced by the Manila Broadcasting Company and hosted by Lisa Macuja, Art 2 Art is aired Sundays, 3:30 to 4 p.m. on DZRH (666 khz on the AM band), on cable TV via RHTV and online through DZRH live streaming at www.dzrh.com.ph.

Today, visual artist Katti Sta. Ana shares the challenges and satisfaction of working with her favorite medium — clay. She runs the Clay Art Garden workshop in Marikina with her artist-husband Roberto Acosta. Katti is also a founder of the Firefly Brigade which advocates the use of bicycles as an alternative mode of transportation.

On July 20, Yvette Fernandez relates how she got started in writing children’s books, starting with Haluhalo Espesyal about the favorite Filipino snack item. Now the editor-in-chief of Town & Country Philippines, she is also behind Summit Books’ Dream Big series based on real-life success stories in business, public service and the arts.

Art 2 Art caps the month with a National Artist tribute, following the official announcement of a new batch of National Artists.
