BB regrets coming out?

MANILA, Philippines - BB Gandanghari (photo) regrets coming out as a gay man on national television via the reality show Pinoy Big Brother in 2006.

“I want to go back to America and hide again. When I came out, I didn’t have a boyfriend, or a relationship. So I asked myself, ‘So what makes me gay?’ After three years, I realized I wasn’t gay. I’m a transgender,” BB says in the second installment of the month-long anniversary celebration of Tapatan Ni Tunying airing today at 4 p.m. on ABS-CBN’s Kapamilya Gold.

Transgender is a term for people whose gender identity is different from the sex they were assigned at birth.

It has been a year since BB and her brother Robin Padilla reconciled.
