MANILA, Philippines - Lady Datin Lourdes Stutely (left) was crowned Mrs. Asia Charity Queen and Jessica Maloles (right) was adjudged first runner-up in the 2014 Mrs. Asia International Pageant held last June 28 at the Menara PGRM Dewan Wawasan in Kuala Lumpur.

Twenty-seven married women, aged 25 to 67, from Borneo, Malaysia, India, China, Macau, Singapore, Japan, Hong Kong and the Philippines competed in the third edition of the pageant and vied for various titles at stake. Our very own Joyce Pilarsky was crowned 2014 Classic Mrs. Asia International Global, one of the major titles.

Businesswoman Stutely, 50, was bestowed the title Lady Datin in 2010 by the Sultan of Sulu and Sabah, HM Sultan Fuad I, for her community services to the Tausug people in Manila. In December last year, she received the Empowered Woman Achievement Award. She’s active in Zonta and Soroptimists, ladies organizations whose advocacy is helping women and children. She also works with Freemasons to help them organize humanitarian missions and outreach programs.

Maloles, 37, also a businesswoman hailing from Gen. Santos City, is active with Rotary Club International 3810.
