Jodi Sta. Maria mum on 'pork' controversy

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - Jodi Sta. Maria declined to comment on the controversy involving the family of her boyfriend, Cavite Vice Governor Jolo Revilla, in connection with the pork barrel scam.

“I would rather not comment about it and I will be welcoming questions about the concert,” Jodi said in an interview Friday.

While she avoided questions related to the pork barrel scam, Jodi answered questions if may already settle down with Jolo.

“Wala naman akong plans na magpakasal,” she said smiling. “Maayos ang ginagawa ko kaya happy ako sa trabaho ko, happy ako sa lahat ng ginagawa ko.”

Meanwhile, Jodi's morning weekday series “Be Careful With My Heart” is on its second year.

“Kung gusto ng tao na nakikita kami on television,” she replied when asked if she sees the show extending for one more year. “If ito 'yong way para to be of service to them, why not? Possible naman.”

She said that the cast of the TV series will be having a thanksgiving concert on July 25 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum dubbed “I Heart You 2: Be Careful With My Heart Anniversary Thanksgiving.”

Jodi admits that she's not really a singer, but she will gladly sing during the concert.

“O sige para may hint, Rihanna siya,” she shyly reveals. Though she clarified that “hindi naman po ako magpapa-sexy.”

Another act that she says the people should anticipate is her song number with Aiza Seguerra, which could possibly be a “Frozen” inspired performance.

Free tickets to the concert will be available at the ABS-CBN Center Road on July 21 and 23 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
