Yam Concepcion wants Ejay Falcon to explain short-lived romance

MANILA, Philippines- Yam Concepcion finally broke her silence on rumors linking her to Ejay Falcon.

Yam and Ejay were paired  in the afternoon series “Dugong Buhay.”

The Kapamilya actress admits that they were together for five months until their relationship just ended without her knowing why.

“Hindi ko rin alam ano naging reason kung bakit natigil. Parang ano na lang... I think siya ang tanungin n'yo kung bakit, siya dapat mag-explain. I think I'll need the explanation, hindi siya,” she said.

Yam added that she denied their romance, because Ejay told her to do so. “Kaya ko naman dineny [deny] dati kasi sinabi niya sa akin na 'wag ko daw sasabihin. So ako naman, e, sige di hindi ko sasabihin.”

She also admitted that she got  “carried away” by her role, mistaking reel emotions with real ones.

“First time ko magkaro'n ng leading man dati, 'di ba? So siyempre bago lahat, so parang na-develop. I was hooked to my character as Sandy na na-carry over ko siya in real life. I don't know... it was just a stage siguro.”

But now that she's single, Yam is focusing on her career and enjoys “'being one with God” again after being “lost” for a while.

“Bigla ka na lang magigising na bakit parang may kulang? I feel bad. Alam mo 'yong mabigat 'yong pakiramdam na minsan parang feeling mo 'yong energy mo... you don't feel good about yourself,” she related.

“Then doon sa Hawaii I had a realization that I need to go back to God and fix my life. At least once a week I give time for God to give me strength also. Kasi hindi naman gano'n kadali ang buhay, ang dami mong pagdadaanan. But with the help of God mas makakaya mo, mas may tiwala ka sa sarili mo.”

Next time that she's in a relationship, Yam assured  the press that “siyempre ipagmamalaki ko, di ba, bakit ko naman siya itatago?”

She added that “siguro kung non-showbiz 'yong guy, 'wag na. Kumbaga let's respect 'yong privacy niya as a person. Tapos kung showbiz naman ang boyfriend mo puwede mo naman sabihin, wala naman masama do'n.

“It's better to be honest din naman. Katulad dati sabi ko, 'bakit nagde-deny pa?' You just have to say the truth.”

Yam's last TV project with ABS-CBN was “Dugong Buhay”, which ended in September. She said she had  waited for a while before her latest project “Pure Love” finally came.

“Oo naman, sino hindi maiinip di ba?” she admitted when asked if she became impatient waiting for her next project. “Honestly speaking, nainip talaga. Kung anu-ano na nga ginawa ko, bumili ako ng projector para sa panonood, mag-DVD marathon para may magawa lang ako.”

But then, she's very happy with the role given to her where she plays the character of Kayla, who will eventually tun against her  best friend Diane.

“First time ko to play a kontra bida. So bago lahat sa akin 'yong mga nuances. So ang role ko dito is very uncanny,  mysterious, you're not giving too much of what you really feel,” she said.

“Pure Love” will start airing on July 7, before “TV Patrol”.
