Matt Evans happy to surpass 'awkward stage' of career

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines- Matt Evans said he's now at the happiest moment in his life.

Aside from having a happy married life with Katrina Farinas, they're also expecting a baby girl to be born this July.

“Actually 'yong last two years ng buhay ko parang sobrang ups and downs talaga, magulo, parang roller coaster,” Evans said in an interview Thursday, during the press conference of his new project “Pure Love.”

It could be recalled that in 2012, Matt was involved in a controversy with his then live-ain partner.

But now “we're good naman, settled na kami no'ng isa,” he said, adding that he's able to see and communicate with their child. “Wala nang naging hassle. So everything is falling into place na rin.”

Aside from hiss family, friends, and especially his wife, Matt thanks his home network ABS-CBN and its talent arm Star Magic for being with him through the “awkward stage” of his career.

“Sobrang thankful kasi hindi nila ako pinabayaan,” he said, referring to the Kapamilya network. “May ups and downs din, dumaan sa awkward stage ang career. Pero nakita mo na minahal ako [ng network] at may halaga ako sa kanila. So sobrang thankful ako.”

So now that he's already a family man, “ako bahay, trabaho, gano'n na lang,” he said smiling. “Kasi lahat naman napagsawana ko na lahat, na-enjoy ko rin naman pagkabinata ko. So magkakaro'n ka lang siguro ng hestitaton sa pag-aasawa kung hindi mo na-enjoy pagkabinata mo.”
