PhilStage welcomes Full House Theater Company

MANILA, Philippines - Full House Theater Company (FHTC Entertainment & Productions, Inc.), the production outfit of Resorts World Manila (RWM), was welcomed to the fold last June 6 by the Philippine Legitimate Stage Artists Group (PhilStage) during the 2013 Annual Gawad Buhay! Awards for the Performing Arts held at the Tanghalang Aurelio V. Tolentino of the Cultural Center of the Philippines.

“To be recognized as a PhilStage member is a huge milestone for us,” said RWM chief entertainment officer Colin Kerr who attended the awarding ceremonies. “It has always been our vision to build a vibrant theater scene right here in the Philippines and make it the ‘Broadway of Asia’ while giving local artists a chance to shine right here on their home soil.”

Now on its sixth year, Gawad Buhay! is the first-ever industry awards exclusively for the performing arts. Outstanding individual and group achievements in various artistic and technical aspects of play, musical and dance productions and performances are honored based on quarterly citations deliberated by the jury.

FHTC joins a roster of established member companies that include 9 Works Theatrical, Actor’s Actors Inc. (AAI), Ballet Manila (BM), Ballet Philippines (BP), Gantimpala Theater Foundation (GTF), Organisasyon ng Pilipinong Mang-aawit (OPM), Philippine Educational Theater Association (PETA), Philippine Opera Company (POC), Repertory Philippines, Tanghalang Pilipino (TP), and Triumphant People’s Evangelistic Theater Society (Trumpets).
