Carla Abellana: 'Everything has a purpose'

MANILA, Philippines – It's been months since Carla Abellana and Geoff Eigenmann broke up. But the 28-year-old actress said she is not yet ready for a new romantic relationship.
“Kasi wala akong mabibigay na time, unang-una. I won’t be able to give as much attention and focus because I have so many work to juggle at the moment. Kawawa lang naman din kung ano, di ba,†Carla told members of the press.
The GMA-7 star is currently one of the busiest actresses in the Kapuso network. Aside from her weekly sitcom “Ismol Family†with Ryan Agoncillo, she will also headline the upcoming drama series “My Destiny†together with “My Husband's Lover†co-star Tom Rodriguez.
“I would say that it has improved. He has improved a lot. The passion is still there, kita mo naman sa eagerness niya to learn,†Carla said of her partnership with the 26-year-old actor.
Carla said she believes in destiny. “I have been thinking. Sabi ko, you know, there's a purpose. Everything has a purpose, everything has a meaning,†she said.
Asked what thinks is the purpose of her relationship with Geoff was in her life, Carla said: “Honestly, I don’t have the answer yet. I'm in that stage na."
"But siguro, it’s to come out as a stronger person, to really learn what you can sacrifice or how much you can sacrifice for a person. Tapos gaano pala ako kalakas, kung gaano ako ka-tough. That was the purpose,†she added.
