Christian Bautista not in a hurry to find love

MANILA, Philipines – It's been a year since Christian Bautista broke up with Romanian-Chinese Carla Dunareanu. But the 32-year-old singer said he is in no rush to find a new girlfriend.
“Yung tamang searching lang,†the Kapuso talent said when asked if he's currently looking for a new love during the Yahoo! Celebrity Awards 2014 press launch recently. “Ako kasi kung gusto ko mangyayari na lang.â€
Christian said he does go on dates but he does not put pressure on himself to find a romantic partner immediately.
“It's not like dates na, 'Can we see if there's a spark?' Parang, sasama lang ako with different friends,†he explained.
He further said, “Halimbawa, isang beses theater ako, isang beses soap ako, tapos isang beses music video. Minsan, nagkakaroon ako ng new friends. So minsan kapag naging friend ko tapos nakita kong pwede, saka ko tinutuloy.â€
“Mahahanap mo na lang. Mahirap yun e, kapag may hinahanap ka,†Christian said.
At 32, Christian knows he's at an age when he could already settle down. But he isn't putting any pressure on himself or his future girlfriend.
“It's like not, 'Hey, pag naging girlfriend kita, dapat asawa agad.' Sinasabi ko lang I'm at that age,†he explained.
What are the traits he is looking for in a woman? Christian said he isn't looking for any particular characteristic.
“There's no one perfect, not even me,†he said. “I know I'm not, I have so many faults, so why am I gonna look for someone perfect?â€
"You can't be cynical with love," he added.
Christian is one of the nominees of the Yahoo! Celebrity Awards 2014, an awards show voted on by netizens.
The GMA-7 artist said there are plans to do another soap opera for his home network. He is also planning to release a new album by the end of the year.
He also did a song titled “Bagong Siglo†in collaboration with Wolfgang front man Basti Artadi, which he plans to release digitally.
