FIFA fans unite over music, football
MANILA, Philippines-Music is everywhere and even the exciting world of football is not immune to it.
Digital music service Spotify has launched the microsite “Spotify Loves Football" to fuse the popular event to music.
Through the website, the players, artists, and music lovers can come together and enjoy one thing in common : music.
For instance, Wayne Rooney of Manchester United shared that his playlist includes Ed Sheeran, Lupe Fiasco, and Béyonce.
Musical artists such as Jennifer Lopez shares the music she listens to which includes hits by Calvin Harris, Ellie Goulding, and Pharrell Williams.
The listeners also get to share the music that they love.
They can share it through the microsite's feature Playlists Cup, where fans can share their own playlist. These playlists will be pitted against each other and the one with the most followers takes home the glory.
This microsite can be enjoyed by Spotify users for the whole duration of the FIFA World Cup.
