Xian, Kathryn renew ties with Star Cinema

MANILA, Philippines - After the success of their movies last year, Xian Lim and Kathryn Bernardo (photo) are ready to hit the cinemas once again after renewing their contracts with Star Cinema recently.

Xian signed a two-picture contract that includes the comeback of the KimXi (Kim Chiu-Xian Lim) love team on the big screen this year. Xian and Kim will join the Ai-Ai delas Alas in a movie.

He also revealed that he is set to do a family drama series with Jessy Mendiola, Ian Veneracion and Carmina Villarroel under Star Creatives and they will start taping in the last week of May.

Kathryn, on the other hand, inked a multi-picture contract, under which one of her lined-up projects include her upcoming movie with Daniel Padilla She’s Dating the Gangster. 

Following the phenomenal success of Got to Believe, Kathryn also confirmed that she will do a teleserye after She’s Dating the Gangster.

Meanwhile, Boy Abunda remains a solid Kapamilya after he renewed another two-year contract with ABS-CBN last April 30.

Lawyer Jose Sison and son Jopet also signed a one-year contract with the network to host the return of the legal drama series Ipaglaban Mo that presents real-life dramatic legal case stories and provides lessons from court decisions to inform viewers of their rights and obligations. Ipaglaban Mo was last seen on ABS-CBN in 1998.
