The graduates

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - Dingdong Dantes (photo) received his college diploma with a degree in Business Administration (major in Marketing) from the West Negros University in Bacolod City last March 23. He also received a special citation for being his batch’s Ambassador of Goodwill. Present during his graduation were his parents Sixto Dantes and Ma. Angelita Dantes, his uncles Col. Edgar Dantes and Commodore Herby Escutin, his best friend Harvey Camposano and his girlfriend (and fellow Kapuso) Marian Rivera.

It’s to his added credit that Dingdong managed to tuck up a college degree despite his hectic showbiz schedule. He plans to pursue the ‘One Chair, One Child’ project of his Yes Pinoy Foundation and Lifetime Foundation Support Team, Inc. Its objective is to provide chairs to all students of a school in Iloilo City that was greatly affected by Yolanda.

Star Circle 2013 member Liza Soberano, 16, recently graduated high school with ‘Special Recognition’ honors (for her outstanding contribution in school activities) from St. Patrick School of Quezon City. She’s shown (in white) after the graduation ceremony with school officials (from left) Juliet Hacbang, Benilda de Guzman, Helen Lopez, Anita Lubugin, Sari Eala Cruz (executive vice president), Prof. Rowena Layador (guest speaker), Danny Dolor (chairman of the board) and Peter Cruz (vice president).

Liza was in the cast of the Kapamilya soap Kung Ako’y Iiwan Mo and the Star Cinema movies Must Be Love and She’s The One. She’s the current endorser of Palmolive Naturals Shampoo and Conditioner (below, right).
