IN PHOTOS: ABS-CBN Summer Station ID ‘PINASmile’

MANILA, Philippines- ABS-CBN officially welcomes summer through its annual summer station ID.

This year, they dubbed their summer station ID as “PINASmile: Masayang Muli ang Kwento ng Summer Natin.”

ABS-CBN Creative Communications Management Head Robert Labayen said that their station ID was inspired by the Filipinos’ happy disposition  despite  and amid the hardships that come their way.

“Filipinos will always choose to smile amidst hardships; we find happiness even in the small things,” he said. “We know how to be grateful and remain positive. We believe in the goodness of others.

“Indeed, despite the calamities that severely damaged our country, the Filipino optimism shines through.”

The  latest station ID is inspired by the victims of different calamities last year, particularly the areas of Bohol, Samar, and Leyte.

To help those affected by various calamities, ABS-CBN featured the different tourist attractions of  the Philippines.

“The positive stories and warm smiles from these hard-hit provinces are testaments of how brave and happy Filipinos could be despite the tragedies that our fellow countrymen went through,” Labayen said.

“Let’s make our summer story worth smiling about again, and show the world that the Philippines is one happy place worth visiting and coming back to.”

This year’s summer station ID theme song “PINAsmile” is interpreted by Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla, and was written by Robert Labayen, Lloyd Oliver Corpuz, Christer Salire, Revbrain Martin, Jill Cabradilla-Aspiras, Mark Raywin Tome, and Christine Daria Estabillio.

The summer station ID will be launched on March 30, Sunday, in the noontime show “ASAP.” Here are some behind the scenes photos of the station ID, shared on ABS-CBN PR’s Instagram account.
