Kathryn turns 18

MANILA, Philippines - Viewers have witnessed the journey of Kathryn Bernardo (photo) from being a Goin’ Bulilit kid to one of the most popular young actresses today, thanks to her characters in Mara Clara, Princess and I and Got To Believe. Kathryn, who started in the business at seven years old, now turns 18 and hopes for the best things that life can offer.

March 26 is her actual birthday, but the Kapamilya actress will hold her grand debut on March 29, Saturday, at The Blue Leaf Filipinas. The venue is modern Filipino in architecture, with beautiful gardens that afford guests a refreshing ambience.

Kathryn is hands-on in the preparation of the occasion — from the theme, invitation, giveaways to other details — to ensure that it will create special moments and unforgettable memories for her and the people who will be part it.

For the theme, she has chosen modern vintage with a twist, while the motifs are black, white and pink. Guests, who are mostly friends in and out of showbiz and family members, are expected to attend in their formal black and white attire.

Her debut gowns will be designed by Francis Libiran and Vania Romoff. “Kathryn’s gown by Francis Libiran is a combination of modern and timeless while the second gown from Vania Romoff is daring but youthful — both gowns fit her image and status as a teen queen,” say stylists Em Millan and Rain Dagala.

Kathryn’s 18 roses are Teodoro Bernardo, Kevin Carlo Bernardo, Lino Cayetano, Neil Coleta, Robi Domingo, Dominique Roque, Khalil Ramos, John Manalo, Enrique Gil, Jhong Hilario, Steven Fermo, Joshua Dionisio, John Valle, Mike Bawa, Marco Alcantara, Dominic Ochoa, Ian Veneracion and her escort, Daniel Padilla.
