MANILA, Philippines – Paris Hilton officially inaugurated the Paris Beach Club, her first real estate project in Parañaque City on Thursday, March 13.
For the hotel heiress and international celebrity, the Paris Beach Club is a step towards fulfilling her dream of following the footsteps of her great grandfather Conrad Hilton, founder of the Hilton Hotels empire, and grandfather Barron Hilton.
“The feeling is really indescribable,†she said during a press conference prior to the Paris Beach Club ribbon cutting. “Ever since I was a little girl, I really admire my great grandfather and my grandfather for the Hilton Hotel empire that they createdâ€
Paris added, “And I’ve always had such incredible mentors looking up to these men who have done so much in the real estate world. I’ve really always admired them and wanted to follow in their footsteps and this is my first step towards it.â€
The Paris Beach Club is the primary amenity of the six-hectare Azure Urban Resort Residences, a condominium complex developed by Century Properties. The project was first announced in 2011, with Paris’ beach club as its main draw.
It boasts of a three-floor beach club with an ice cream bar, health spas and fitness center, game room, indoor playground, indoor and outdoor restaurants on the top floor. It also has a man-made white sand beach as well as a 20-meter lap pool. The amenity is exclusive to residents of the Azure Urban Resort Residences.
“It’s my dream project. It’s a dream come true to see something like this,†Paris said. “I traveled all around the world. I’ve been to the most incredible places—Ibiza, South of France, Fiji—so I basically took all my favorite aspects out of all those different locations and put it all in the Paris Beach Club.â€
The Azure has nine planned residential towers; three are already completed while two more are expected to be finished before the end of the year. Century Properties Co-Chief Operating Officer John Victor Antonio said they are expecting the completion of all buildings and amenities in 2018.
The 33-year-old international celebrity, who became popular during the last decade due to her foray in reality TV and recording, among others, has managed to build her own empire with her popular name, with over 17 product lines such as perfumes and clothes.
Paris said she adores the Philippines the second time around. She was in the country in 2011 to promote Azure and the Paris Beach Club.
“I had a really nice time. I love the people here. The people are so sweet and welcoming and warm,†she said of her stay in the Philippines. Paris arrived in the country on Sunday, March 9. She has since visited a number of tourist spots in Metro Manila, including Intramuros and Rizal Park, as well as some Century Properties’ development like the Gramercy residential tower and the Century City Mall in Makati City.
“I’m so proud in what I’ve created in my empire,†Paris said when asked of her future plans. “Now I’m getting into real estate which is one of the greatest dream in my life. So I just feel like all my dreams are coming true.â€
Will there be future projects for Paris in the Philippines after the Paris Beach Club? “We’re not at liberty to say but by our body language you can probably interpret,†Antonio said.
