Mowelfund’s horseracing benefit event

MANILA, Philippines - The Mowelfund Benefit Trophy Races, a star-studded horseracing benefit event will be held on March 16 at the country’s newest racetrack MetroTurf in Malvar, Batangas.

This was recently announced by Mowelfund president Boots Anson-Roa after finalizing all the details of the racingfest which serves as the kick-off event of the year-long activities to mark Mowelfund’s 40th anniversary.

“It’s all systems go for our horseracing festival and this is in cooperation with the Metro Manila Turf Club and the Klub Don Juan de Manila. A day-long racing extravaganza featuring the best horses in the local racing industry will be seen in various benefit trophy races. We are very much excited about this event,” said Boots.

Twelve sponsored trophy races to be participated in by the various tough and tested chargers in the country are slated.

The top officials of Mowelfund together with several movie stars are expected to grace the event.

“I would like to extend our thanks for the whole-hearted support of the Metro Manila Turf Club, headed by its chairman and president Dr. Norberto Quisumbing Jr., and the Klub Don Juan de Manila, headed by its president Antonio Eleazar. Their support with that of our benevolent sponsors would surely go a long way in helping out needy colleagues,” Boots added.
