Yeng Constantino announces engagement to boyfriend

MANILA, Philippines – Singer Yeng Constantino took to social media to announce her engagement to boyfriend Yan Asuncion.

On her official Instagram account, the “Hawak Kamay” singer posted a photo of two hands holding, with the top hand on the photo is wearing a ring. The caption to the photo goes: “I said Yes.”

In a previous photo on Instagram, Yeng said she is “happiest woman on Earth right now…”

Yeng first admitted she is in a relationship with Asuncion last year. Asuncion, a Christian worship director, is her first boyfriend.

In a previous interview with Philstar.com and other members of the press, Yeng admitted she is willing settle down with Asuncion in case he proposes. “Ako po, hindi naman ako pumasok sa relasyon kung hindi ko nakikita sa future ko na makasama siya habangbuhay,” she said in an interview July of last year.

“Ang good thing sa boyfriend ko naiintindihan niya,” Yeng added. “Kasi gano’n din ang mindset niya, e, ‘kapag nag-girlfriend ako iyon na.’ Hintay-hintay lang, wala pa kaming definite na time. Pero ‘yon ang purpose ng relationship namin.”
