Vice Ganda on new rape raps vs Vhong: ‘Mayro’n akong bitbit na katotohanan’

MANILA, Philippines- Vice Ganda claims that Vhong Navarro was in his concert on the day that Roxanne Cabañero said that she was raped by Navarro.

“Ang concern ko ay si Vhong bilang siya ang malapit sa akin,” Vice said in his interview with “The Buzz ng Bayan” Sunday, February 23.

Then he reveals that “Mayro’n akong alam sa puso ko na maaaring makatulong sa kanya. Mayro’n akong bitbit na katotohanan at ‘yon ang sasabihin ko dahil maaaring ‘yon makatulong sa kaibigan ko, at maaaring magbigay kaliwanagan sa lahat ng iniisip ng mga tao.”

In Cabañero’s complaint, she said that Navarro allegedly raped her four years ago, April 24, 2010 to be exact. It was the same day that the candidates of Miss Bikini Philippines, where Cabañero is one of the candidates, guested on “It’s Showtime.”

After the show, Navarro allegedly asked for her number and he contacted her to meet up.

Vice said that at first, he couldn’t remember that day when the candidates visited their show. But when he learned of the date, some of his fiends reminded him that it was the day where he had a concert in Island Cove, Cavite.

“Concert ko po ‘yon at guest ko po si Kean Cipriano at Vhong Navarro,” Vice recalled. “Sa Cavite po ang leg ng concert ko no’n, sa Island Cove.”

He then said that his concert started late, “nagsimula ang concert, pinakamaaga na ang 9 o’clock o 9:30,” and that “si Vhong, siya ang last guest ko.”

“Siyempre siya ang pinakamalaking pangalan, siya ang pinakasikat kaya siya ang last guest,” he continued. “Ang ginagawa niya palagi, mayro’n siyang medley of dance, ‘yong evolution of dance, ‘yon ang ginagawa niya palagi.”

The performance, as he recalled, lasted for 10 to 15 minutes. Then Navarro joined him again in his final performance.

“Kasi natatandaan ko kaputukan po ng Showtime no’n at ang finale number ko kumakanta ako ng Showtime theme song. Kasi sumasabay ang tao at kasabay ko si Vhong na gumagawa ng finale number. Hanggang matapos na, dire-diretso ang programa, kasama ko si Vhong Navarro.”

Amid all the controversies that his friend is going through, Vice Ganda remains positive and is doing his best to make Navarro laugh.

“Nakakalungkot, nakakalungkot dahil kinailangan niyang pagdaanan ‘to. Kanina nga lang ka-text ko siya, pinapatawa ko na naman siya. Sabi ko, ‘ang tanda mo na, ang dami mo nang pinagdaanan. Ilang tumbling lang ‘yan, matatapos din kaya ‘wag kang umarte-arte.’

“Pero ang sa akin, sana kaht papaano makabawas [ang pagpapatawa ko] do’n sa bigat na nararamdaman niya.”
