Mark Herras admits he has a three-month-old daughter

MANILA, Philippines –Mark Herras admitted he is a father to a three-month-old baby girl.

In an interview with GMA-7’s showbiz talk show “Startalk” on Sunday, February 23, the Kapuso actor revealed the mother of her daughter Ada—which means “first baby girl,” according to Mark—is five years his senior.

Mark is currently 27-years-old, while the mother of her child is 32. The actor didn’t identify the baby’s mom.

Asked why he came forward to admit he has a child, Mark said, “Unang-una, 'pag nalaman ng tao na meron kang anak, 'di ba, siyempre maaapektuhan yung trabaho mo, yung buhay mo, yung career mo.”

“Pero by this time kasi, kaya ako naging matapang, kasi sawang-sawa na akong mag-deny, e. I’m very proud of Ada dahil siya po ang aking first baby girl,” he added.

The “Rhodora X” actor also said he is currently not together with the mother of her child.

“Actually, sa ngayon ang napag-usapan po namin, kailangan naming magtulungan para sa baby, para suportahan yung bata, para mapalaking maayos yung bata. At lahat po ng pinag-uusapan namin is tungkol sa baby,” Mark said.

“Saka na muna yung sa amin, kung ano ang mangyayari sa amin someday or kung anuman.”

Mark was previously in a relationship with young actress Ynna Asistio. The two broke up early this year.

The actor also admitted his baby was conceived when he was still in relationship with Ynna, although added the child was not the reason for their breakup.

“Alam ko yung pagkakamali ko. I said sorry to her, her family. Alam ko yung nagawa ko na mali. Alam kong malaking kasalanan yung nagawa ko. Pero andyan na yung baby e, hindi ko naman pwedeng sabihin na kalimutan ko yung baby, piliin ko sila,” Mark said.

He added: “Dugo ko po yung bata. Anak ko po yun, ako yung daddy.Alam ko galit sila, alam ko nasaktan sila. Kung hindi nila matanggap yung sorry, wala po akong magagawa dun.”
