Gelli, Christine share their Valentine’s Day stories

MANILA, Philippines- Christine Bersola- Babao and Gelli de Belen are two women who are blessed with happily married lives in showbiz.

Despite their long career in showbiz, they were able to keep  low profile but happy married lives.

So this Valentine’s Day, these two women shared sweet and funny stories and plans this day of the hearts.

In an interview Thursday afternoon, February 13, Christine related that her husband Julius Babao surprised her with a trip  to Hong Kong.

“Sabi ko, nakaka-miss mag-travel na tayong dalawa lang ‘no? Ano kaya this Valentine’s Day, weekend, saan mo ako dadalhin? Biniro ko lang siya. Tapos ito, mag-trip kami sa Hong Kong,” she said.

Gelli also bared that Christine and Julius would go on weekly dates.

Meanwhile, if Christine and Julius love to go on dates, Gelli and her husband Ariel Rivera prefer to stay at home and spend time with their kids.

Though they rarely go on dates, the TV host-actress said that they’re still romantic to each other. The catch is “mayro’n din kami 20 years na [nagging girlfriend-boyfriend]. Tapos sa umaga kapag hinatid ang mga bata ang dami na naming pinag-usapan, so ano pa pag-uusapan namin?”

She even cannot remember when the last time that Ariel gave her a bouquet of flowers, which made the entertainment press laugh.

She related, “sabi ko nga kanina, ‘yong kuya ni Ariel nagbigay ng bulaklak sa asawa niya. Sabi ko, ‘hindi ko na maalala kung kalian ako last na nabigyan ng bulaklak,’ sabi niya, ‘oo nga, hindi ko na maaalala kung kalian kita huling nabigyan mg bulaklak.’”

But instead of encouraging him to buy her flowers she told him, “okay lang, bag na lang,” followed by a hearty laugh.
