James Yap excited to spend birthday with son; wishes to end rift with Kris

MANILA, Philippines- James Yap is excited to be with his son Bimby on his birthday tomorrow, February 15.

His ex-wife Kris Aquino agreed to let Bimby and Josh visit him on his birthday. Yet he admits that aside from excitement, he also feels nervous about seeing his son again after five months.

“Siyempre hindi maiiwasan ‘yong ilangan,” James said, Philippine Entertainment Portal reported. “Kahit anak mo ‘yon pero matagal mong hindi nakakasama, may ilangan talaga. May ilangan na mangyayari sa darating na Sabado.”

James isn’t sure yet what they’ll do that day, but he made it clear that he doesn’t have plans of introducing Bimby yet to her current girlfriend Michela Cazzola.

“Hindi muna, siyempre matagal kong hindi nakasama ang anak ko,” he said. “Solo muna, moment muna naming dalawa. Mahirap ‘yong may ano… Alam mo ‘yon, baka ma-distract pa ‘yong bata. So kaming tatlo muna."

Birthday wish

Meanwhile, since he’s celebrating his birthday on Saturday, James was asked about his wish on his 32nd birthday.

“Sana magkabati [na kami ni Kris],” he replied. “Kung hindi man ngayon, baka in the future. SIyempre, lumalaki na rin ang anak namin, nagkakaroon ng isip. So, mas nakakahiya sa anak naming kung ang nanay at tatay niya away nang away.”

He was then asked what his birthday wish for Kris who’s celebrating her birthday today, February 14. “Happy birthday, enjoy life lang,” he replied.
