Top wedding fotog at Photoworld Asia 2014

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - Denis Reggie, America’s famous wedding photographer, leads the list of speakers for the international photographers conference of Photoworld Asia (PWA) 2014 to be held at the Asian Institute of Management (AIM).

PWA, the longest running photography trade show and convention in the Philippines, will be from Jan. 30 to Feb. 4. The trade show where major camera brands and other photography gear suppliers will be held at the Glorietta Ayala Malls in Makati.

The Federation of Philippine Photographers Foundation (FPPF) is the organizer of PWA which is a most-awaited event of Asian photographers.

Pablo Beltran says it is the 27th edition of PWA. The PWA 2014 chairman is Boyet Guevarra of the Nayon Camera Club. Beltran said PWA is an annual event of amateur and local photographers in the Philippines and neighboring countries.

Denis is regarded as the top wedding photographer in the world and has been described as the finest wedding photographer of his generation. He single-handedly transformed the look of staid bridal imagery into the truly natural, editorial style he termed wedding photojournalism. The industry has never been the same, his influence is legend. A series of his wedding photographs requested by the Smithsonian Institute is part of the permanent collection at the National Museum of American History.

This year’s theme is Postcard Perfect Philippines. For details, call 527-7576 or 528-0371 or log on to http://www.photoworldmanila.com/photoworldasia/#sthash.ACiT38bk.dpuf.
