Liz Uy launches a women’s styling book guide

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines- Liz Uy believes that fashion is for everyone.

That is why she released her own styling book “StyLIZed” which lists all the basic fashion pieces that you can mix and match.

It was her friend and client Kris Aquino who encouraged her to write a book about styling, and go beyond sharing her fashion tips by being Preview magazine’s fashion editor.

“It’s very fulfilling,” she said in an interview during her book launch Saturday afternoon, January 25.

“Parang we’ve been doing it for a year and a half. Wala kaming tulog ng team ko because of course I’m working as well on other projects. So we plan just like three times a month. So blood, sweat and tears ang binuhos namin dito.”

With the help of her friends and clients namely Anne Curtis, Bea Alonzo, Marian Rivera, Georgina Wilson, Bianca Gonzalez, Sarah Geronimo, Julia Barretto, Isabelle Daza, Toni Gonzaga, and Kris Aquino, she demonstrates how you can have different looks in one fashion piece.

The fashion essentials included in the book are “my personal choice,” she said. “Also I asked around. I asked my friends from Preview magazine and my friends from other magazines then I tallied.

“Then of course I observed, I looked around, kung anong kadalasan suot nila. Almost every body may white shirt, may tank tops, may blazer. So parang you don’t need to spend or buy every time, but instead you can mix-and-match.”

As her first book sold out in the first few weeks of its release, Liz says that she plans of doing a men’s styling book as well.
