Nuvali holds benefit concert

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - The mere sound of the voices of some of the country’s finest musical artists  Erik Santos, Richard Poon and Angeline Quinto with The Voice of the Philippines finalists  at the Evoliving Center Dockside last Dec. 30, 2013 was enough to make Nuvali’s year-end benefit concert Greens and Giving a memorable way to end 2013.

Going beyond rousing entertainment, Greens and Giving acquired a deeper meaning as proceeds from the concert went to the survivors of the Bohol Earthquake, Typhoon Yolanda and Hero Foundation scholars. With the amount raised coursed through the Philippine Red Cross, lives and infrastructure destroyed by the recent disasters will be rebuilt.

The featured performers rendered popular hits like Katy Perry’s Roar, Pink’s Learn to Love, the Disney song Go the Distance and classics like the Beatles’ Imagine and the moving The Light of a Million Mornings —  songs of hope and cheer to signify that despite calamities, Filipinos will survive and start anew.

It has become a tradition for Nuvali, Ayala Land, Inc.’s sprawling and ever-evolving residential and commercial community situated in Sta. Rosa, Calamba, and the Municipality of Cabuyao in Laguna to hold spectacular events to bid the outgoing year goodbye and welcome the new one.

Laguna residents and visitors alike came in droves to Greens and Giving to savor the breathtaking sights in Nuvali while putting into action the season’s spirit of giving and sharing.
