Sinulog fever on GMA

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - Starting at 9 a.m. today, GMA Regional TV airs its live coverage of the Señor Sto. Niño de Kalibo Pilgrims’ Mass in Kalibo, Aklan.

Airing in all Kapuso regional TV channels, the coverage begins with the symbolic transfer of the miraculous statue of Señor Sto. Niño de Kalibo in front of the Saint John the Baptist Cathedral followed by a Mass to be officiated by Kalibo Bishop Rev. Jose Corazon Tala-oc.

Other activities will also be featured like the street dance parade where thousands of devotees and tourists in Ati costumes strut their Sto. Niño images in moving fashion along the major streets of Kalibo.

Hosted by Luane Dy and local radio personality Jason Gregorio, the live coverage also features stories on Ati-Atihan traditions.

Meanwhile, the stars of Rhodora X led by Jennylyn Mercado and Mark Herras, and the cast of Carmela Alden Richards and Marian Rivera will grace the Sinulog celebration in Cebu.

With the festivity as backdrop, the battle continues today at 12 noon between the four teams Instagang, Tropang Trending, Tweethearts and Ligang iLike in Sunday All Stars. Each group is tasked to appoint a festival queen and pick a tatak Cebuano product to be integrated into their conceptualized production numbers. Dingdong Dantes will sit as one of the judges.

Tonight at 7:30, hear more about the miraculous encounters of people who have faith in the Sto. Niño in Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho (KMJS).

The episode will also feature different pakbet dishes in the recently-held Pakbet Kawa Festival in Villasis, Pangasinan. Plus, discover people who have splitting images of each other even though they are not related.
