Lectures on asthma slated

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - People may not know it except perhaps for artist-friends close to her, but Celeste Legaspi (photo) had long suffered from asthma.

Today, however, she has found relief from asthma through the Buteyko Method, a safe, effective and drug-free breathing reconditioning program.

“I had asthma as far back as I can remember,” Legaspi admits. “It was with me through my childhood and teenage years, on my wedding day, and all my three pregnancies.”

Developed over 50 years ago by Russian respiratory specialist Dr. Konstantin Buteyko, the method also provides long-term benefits to people with emphysema, diabetes, migraine, bronchitis, digestive disorders, hypertension and immune and hormonal disorders.

Learn more about the Buteyko Method with Vidgen’s free introductory lectures in Quezon City tonight at 7 at the Health Is In, 59 West Ave. near Cavite Street (with tel. no. 416-0123).

In Makati City, he will speak tomorrow, Jan. 8, 2 p.m. and  7 p.m. at the In Touch Community Services, 48-A McKinley Road, Forbes Park, second floor Holy Trinity Church compound across from San Antonio Plaza (tel. no. 893-1893).

In Cebu City, his lecture is set on Feb. 4.
