Kris asks for ‘guidance and wisdom’ on next career move

MANILA, Philippines – Kris Aquino took to social media amid reports that she is contemplating on leaving current home network. According to earlier reports, the 42-year-old TV host, whose contract with the Kapamilya network ended October of last year, is in talks to move to GMA-7.

In an Instagram post on Monday, January 6, the 42-year-old TV host explained that her decisions in life are “most influenced” by her sons, Joshua and Bimby.

“In 2014 I will continue to believe & have faith in God's plan for my life... Thank You for caring very much about my future plans. For all those who understand that my decisions in life are most influenced by my sons, thank you,” Kris said.

She further explained, “It was a solemn promise to my Mom near her death that I would do everything to insure Josh's comfort & well being. She told me that w/ Bimb we could be confident that he could be independent & make a good life for himself. It is for Josh that I must leave behind enough to insure that even when I'm gone he would be financially secure. At only 6 years old, Bimb understands his Kuya's special needs & promised to always share w/ Josh. I have been blessed w/ a career I am passionate about but at the end of the day, my most important mission is to be the best mother I can be...”

However, Kris clarified that “no decision has been made” and that “negotiations are ongoing.”

Kris is currently in vacation in London with his sons

The Kapamilya star neither confirmed nor denied the talks of her network transfer when it was first reported by Pilipino Star Ngayon showbiz editor Salve Asis on December 30 that the Presidential sister is “90 percent sure” to move to GMA-7.

Meanwhile, on Friday, January 3, entertainment news site Philippine Entertainment Portal reported that Kris received an offer from TV5 owner Manny V. Pangilinan to leave ABS-CBN.

Following the said report, Kris posted on her Instagram account on Friday: “Time to ask for GUIDANCE & WISDOM... Pls know that whatever decision I make, apart from considering what will be most beneficial for my 2 sons, it's very important to me to consider what you, my audience, wants... That's why it's good for me to be away now, to just be w/ my sons, so that I can reflect very carefully.”

Currently, Kris’s only show in ABS-CBN is the morning talk show “Kris TV.”
