The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines- Alden Richards is very happy with the success of “10,000 Hours” during the 39th Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) Awards Night.

The film bagged the most number of awards, including the major titles Best Picture and Best Actor for Robin Padilla.

Alden played the role of the young Robin Padilla in the film. He was not able to do a scene with Padilla, but the Kapuso actor said doing the film was such a great experience for him.

He said there was a lot of pressure playing the young Padilla.

"Kasi mahirap yung, siyempre new actor parang bago pa lang po in this field, three years pa lang," he said. "So parang ang hirap ma-level ang sarili mo, parang hindi pa rin ako maka-comprehend na ako yung mag-play ng young Robin Padilla."

Alden was happy that he was able to portray the role well. He said he his hoping that the viewers will enjoy the film as much as he enjoyed doing it especially since doing a role like this is different from the ones he usually does.

"Super action all the way," he comments. "So unlike sa mga nagawa kong roles hindi siya drama, wala siyang love team. It is more sa fighting, I mean, pulis kasi siya, e, he started young."

“So yun ang challenge sa akin, I had trainings before doing the role—how to handle a gun, to do own stunts kasi wala kaming double actually for this film.”

Now that one day has been ticked off from 2014, Alden said that this year, or if not, in the coming years, "I hope masundan with a little bit of everything: a little bit of action, a little bit of drama, a bit of ganito and ganyan."
